Old trees, enormous stone fields, huge stones, clear waters, intriguing forest wilderness is waiting for you here. You just have to step in…

A 5-day journey to the heart of Kessi-Vätsäri wilderness area with tens of lakes, bonds and little streams. An authentic way to experience the summer or colourfull autumn in Lapland, enjoy fresh, local food and sleep under the midnight sun.Two days will be spent at Home Camp, three days at wilderness. Walking along stony path, crossing  little streams and drinking water straight from the lakes and rivers. Adventurous spirit and fairly good shape needed.

Day 1 – Arrival to our Home Camp. First night will be spent here and you will have an opportunity to explore the surroundings, by walk, bike or even go kayaking on a nearby lake. We will prepare the necessities for the upcoming trip, checking all the equipment needed, put up a Tentsile tree tent to sleep at for the first night and dine at our cozy summer kitchen which will be at your use whenever at Home Camp.

Day 2 – We will serve breakfast at the summer kitchen, after which the journey to wilderness starts. We will first drive for about 80km to reach the wilderness area of Kessi, from where it takes up to 3 hours to walk to the cottage by a small lake, in the very heart of old finnish forests. There we will put up the Tentsile tree tents again, put some fishing nets to the lake and heat the finnish Sauna. Dinner will be served at the cottage.

Day 3  – After breakfast we will go explore the area around by foot, and you have the opportunity to try your luck with fishing if wished. Lunch will be served by the open fire next to a lake, while listening to the silence of nature. In the evening we will check the fishing nets back at the Wilderness Camp, heat the Sauna and dine. ( Maybe even the fish you've caught by yourself!)

Day 4 – Departure day from the Wilderness Camp. We will take down the Tentsile tents, make our way back to the car and on the way visit a brown bears nest if the guests wish. After returning back to the Home Camp, you will have a chance to go to the Sauna again, there will be a hot thub heated for you and dinner served all made from local fresh goods.

Day 5 – Breakfast served again at the summer kitchen. Depending on your time of departure there will time to explore the surrounding area, go visit the village of Ivalo or go biking/kayaking, or just relax at the Home Camp.
